Terms of Service
Last updated 20 September 2026
Draft, not yet reviewed by a lawyer. The facts about how data is handled are accurate. The legal wording is not advice, and the details in square brackets still need filling in before anyone relies on this.
These terms cover your use of Chomi. By creating an account you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.
1. What the service does
Chomi interviews a subject-matter expert by voice, and uses that interview together with a business profile to produce written content. It reads your website and the competitor websites you name, and it reads documents you upload, in order to do that.
2. Your account
- You are responsible for what happens under your login.
- Keep your password to yourself. Tell us promptly if you think somebody else has it.
- Agency plans may create profiles for their own clients and invite those clients in. The agency remains responsible for what those clients do in the workspace.
- Interview links can be sent to people without an account. Whoever sends the link is responsible for who receives it.
3. Your content, and who owns what
Everything you put in stays yours: your business profile, your documents, your recordings and your transcripts. Everything the service writes for you is yours to use, publish, edit and sell, with no further permission needed from us.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your material, process it, and send the relevant parts to the AI providers listed in the privacy policy so the work can be done.
4. What we do not promise about AI output
Content is generated by AI from what you and your experts supply. It can be wrong. It can state something confidently that is not true, and it can produce wording similar to something that already exists.
- Check anything factual, legal, medical, financial or regulated before publishing it.
- You are responsible for what you publish, including whether you have the right to publish it.
- We do not warrant that output is unique, accurate, or fit for any particular purpose.
5. Acceptable use
Do not use Chomi to:
- produce content that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes somebody else's rights
- impersonate a person or organisation
- upload material you do not have the right to upload, or personal information about people who have not agreed to it
- attempt to extract our prompts or models, or resell access to the underlying AI providers
- probe, overload or interfere with the service
6. Plans, credits and payment
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Cancel any time; your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for.
- Plan allowances reset each billing period and do not roll over. Credits you have bought separately do not expire when a period ends and remain available while your account is open.
- Prices are shown before you pay. We may change prices with notice; changes do not affect a period already paid for.
- Payments are handled by our payment providers. We never see or store your card number.
Refunds
Generation spends real money with AI providers the moment you run it, so work already produced is not refundable. If something fails through our fault, tell us and we will restore the credits or fix it. If the service is materially broken for a stretch of your billing period, ask and we will discuss a pro-rata refund.
7. Availability
We aim to keep Chomi running but do not promise uninterrupted service. We depend on third parties, and their outages become ours. We may suspend an account that is harming the service or other customers.
8. Ending the agreement
You can close your account whenever you like, from your settings. We may close an account that breaches these terms, or has not paid, after telling you why. On closure your content is deleted on the schedule in the privacy policy, so export anything you want to keep first.
9. Liability
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death, personal injury or fraud. Subject to that, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect loss.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
11. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and the courts of South Africa have jurisdiction.
